Maruti Udyog Ltd today launched a limited edition new variant of its best selling model, Alto, that will be costlier by about Rs 8,000 from the existing model. A company official said the `Alto Xfun' would come in two variants LX and LXi, which would be priced at Rs 2.77 lakh and Rs 2.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.

The new Alto comes with added features like two-tone interiors, new body graphics, body coloured wheel cap and bumpers. The launch of the new limited edition of Alto Xfun is to celebrate the model's sales of five lakh units in a span of six years.

Maruti Udyog had sold one lakh Altos in the last six months.
